@Maxlife441 thanks i love mine also, but i dont have a reserve tanks i just mix it in with? the gas a little safer ,but what mph do u think it will go i think im can go about 30-35mph
I love my TX17 also, just keep an eye on your two stroke oil tank, my VRO pump quit on mine? but I caught it in time. Runnig strong still for a 1990

As for horsepower you probably want to stay within? the ratings. They don’t base it on how heavy a boat is they base it off of size and the structural integrity of the boat, especially the transom. There’s a lot of weight difference between a 75 and a 90 and all that extra stress can weaken the transom. Especially the added stress while being trailered. Nice boat though! You should be proud of it!
as for motor size, not sure what it will take but generally the tag rating is set very low for safety reasons. For instance my basstracker is rated at 4 person 580lbs and ive had atleast 900 lbs in my boat and it? ran just fine.
@longislandbassfishin i think about 55 to 60 but coast gaurd said it could handle a 135 but they said any more it would get off its pad and u? would be fucked ha

i have the same boat..it will not take up to a 90 lmao…in plane it wouldnt be very stable and the hull would get beat up. with your batteries in the back, a 90? in the back, the boat will never go into a clean plane and the front will stay up too high. the most id ever put on mine would be like a 75
