Query by Heartwood Fence Co.: Does a tracker boat trailer have running lights?
We purchased a 2007 Tracker bass boat with a tracker trailstar trailer. There had been no running lights on when we have been driving at night, only brake and turn signal lights. Should this trailer be equipped with night time operating lights?

I would say yes, I thought the very same factor when I bought my boat “second hand” the problem was really a fuse in the fuse box underneath the hood of my truck. Check with your owners manual to find the correct fuse, a lot more than likely this is your problem. If this doesn’t fix the issue search at a diagram on the back of a package for a trailer plug it will specify which color wires function what lights, you may possibly have to rewire the lights if there is a brief. Hope this assists!

I also i have a bass tracker pro team 190 with a 90hp i max out at 45 mph and for a aluminum boat its very stable not as much as fiber glass though, it also so haddles waves well i had 3 ft swells one day and it went through them very well? I was impressed. the only thing that makes it unstable is when someone on the back deck moves to the other side but u get use to it. other than that its a great boat. I also I have a video of I search : bass tracker pro team 190

A? ranger is always going to be more stable, after all you are looking at 3x the money and likely twice the weight. The 175 is about as stable and wide as you can get in aluminum, particularly in that price range.

@rangerbass519 It does shift a lot with grown men moving around. Fishing alone it’s fine. It’s very very light. Comparing movement on this boat to a glass boat is just apples and oranges to me. 5 best advantages are 1. Weight to power ratio 2. Fuel economy ? 3. Smooth ride semi v hull. 4. Cost 5. Stumps & logs (while fishing) have no effect at all on the all welded hull. Very very tough hull design

It definitely isn’t as stable as a fiberglass boat but you get used to it. You will lose your balance once in a while when the guy in the back moves to the edge suddenly when you don’t expect it. We use the boat on a fairly small lake with massive boat traffic? and it can get hairy when maneuvering the waves with the 75 hp. But if you think about it, this boat has the same fishabilaty as a fiberglass boat for much less. Don’t get me wrong tho, I would love to own a nice Ranger.

Well I do have an ’07 ranger 178 vs, but for me it’s not very mobile, to big/to many worries. I’d like to get one of them, but I noticed that it doesn’t look very stable to stand in. Am I hearing wrong? When I trade my Ranger in should I go? for it? Or should I stick to what I got, please let me know.

Nice boat! I have the same one (2004) with a 75 two stroke. With the stainless steel prop and the 75 two stroke you can hit 44-45? with one person in the boat. This boat with a 75 will absolutely fly out of the hole. My 2stroke is quite a bit louder than your 4 stroke. Nice vid

Yes. ALL trailers regardless of size, type/use are required to have at the very least, running lights, brake lights and a license plate light. This is for EVERY state in the USA. There are NO exceptions. If they aren’t on there, you’ll need to install the required lighting for the length and requirements of your state.
