Aluminum vs Fiberglass bass boats?

I have been seeking at new bass boats and it would seem that the aluminum ones tend to be much less high-priced than the fiberglass ones.
For instance, a 16 foot aluminum Bass Tracker with a 50 hp 2-stroke mercury was about $ 13K. Even though a 16 foot nitro with a 90 hp 2-stroke mercury was about 19K. I have heard that aluminum is lighter and so the HP on the motors can be reduce whilst still giving adequate power to get even though the water.
What do you feel are the advantages/disadvatages of aluminum vs fiberglass for bass boats?

The added $ 6K was probably to spend for the excess 40 HP on the outboard. Boating isn’t low-cost. You want a more expensive hobby?…….start off taking flying lessons!…..LOL!

A prop will assist by placing a decrease pitch prop on but you will loose top speed. can you move some weigh close to? I have witnessed boats with bird shot or some sort of weigh in the bow.I would move weigh be for a prop.
I assume it is trimmed appropriate on plane.Adding power trim will fix it too it is huge bucks

Question by sunshinechick: Any guidance for getting my husband a marine radio for his bass boat?
My husband is an aspiring bass amateur, who will be fishing in really a couple of tournaments this summer time. He does not have a radio on the boat, and I would like to obtain 1 for him for our 1 year anniversary. Good for him to have tunes whilst he fishes, and peace of thoughts for me knowing he can get the climate updates. He has a gorgeous Nitro Bass boat, and I know I would like to have it be Sirius compatible, but other than that I am clueless as to what I really should be purchasing for. Any ideas fellow boaters? Thanks so a lot!
