Question by dale h: Why are boat rates in locations like Florida and California so considerably less than in Kansas / Oklahoma area?
I have looked at a lot of fish/ski boats to buy and there is a large difference in price for related units. Instance: I found a 2004 Triton Bass boat for $ 2000 in Miami, FL and a similar boat in Oklahoma City expenses $ 14,000! That’s a enormous difference!
I’m guessing it has something to do with becoming around saltwater?

Most Bass boats in Florida are fishing freshwater rivers and lakes. Even boats stored near salt water, like Tampa Bay, wouldn’t make that big a distinction. There is another answer from personal knowledge. A lot of folks retire to Florida, but age creeps up on you and you can’t do what you did a couple of years ago. Yes. this is a very good deal……ask the individual who won it what the “List price,” with tags, title and taxes is. I’m guessing more than $ 20K. The outboard alone is in the $ 8,000 range installed. I’m assuming it’s on a trailer. Excellent luck!
