Old Ranger Bass Boat, 115 hp Johnson outboard
ByLocated this For Sale regional and could’nt resist. All original and all operating,Tilt and Trim, 24 volt Johnson trolling motor, Depth finder, live wells, bilge pump,lights,speedo, tach, A set of wooden ski’s, Did’nt run out negative……..34 mph, not quickly, but, not negative for a heavy, 32 year old fishing boat.

@chums101 That’s not a very nice thing to say to a guy with an old boat that’s married to a fat lady, I’m bettin you keep your little mouth shut when you’re in public………Right?
Driving that boat is like screwing a fat girl- you don’t want your friends seein you on one, but it does the job!

@TmoneyMeeksLove them old Mercs, Nothing Like the “Tower of Power” to push a Boat !!… This boat is for sale, Without a Motor, Thinking about putting it on Ebay, Starting around 500 and see where it will go.
I have a 17 foot 1977 Ranger with a 115hp mercury and i can get her up to 50 to 55. Tri hull makes the boat handle waves so well!
@hardtimesx2 COOL thanks i have a 92 18″ nitro with a 115 johnson that im haveing rebilt trying to get an idea how fast she will go thanks again
@riptha400ex 43mph, according to a GPS.
how fast could you get her going?
@cockbiscuitnews It’s a 1978 model, Is that a classic, or an antique ? Anyway, I doubt there are that many that are this complete, And All original.
nice boat it seems like a classic!!
Your boat reminds me of a lovely old boat I saw last month on Lake Victoria in Tanzania. Have a look on my video on youtube. I call it the “Modern Africa Queen”.

I have a 1981 Ranger 1780V with a 1989 Evinrude 88 SPL, I want to go a little faster, what kind of prop you guys recomend.
that boat should be doing at least 50 with that motor on it. I got mine up to 57 with 4 people and full tackle. Might want to check out the prop or see if your carbs are opening all the way
I just perchased the same boat damn its a beauty cant wait to get in the water
Excellent…my dad had a 1978 140….memories
